Friend Village is both a band and nonprofit made up of a husband and wife, pianist-singer duo collaborating with other independent musicians to create a blend of styles with a little something for everyone. 

The new 8-song release, Shadow, is a mixtape of indie/alt-pop with cinematic, electronic, rock, and jazz elements. This blend of genres is connected by themes of ego, inner conflict, mortality, and the search for meaning in a chaotic world. 

This comes alongside the release of the remixed, remastered debut album, Friend Village. These 2 full-length albums are part of the larger goal of Friend Village, the nonprofit, founded by a hearing surgeon hoping to spark Jungian-inspired self-reflection — facing our darkness to heal from within.

While we all strive to rise above our faults and vices, those of us who have lost their way now corrupt the world and endanger our future. We can either be part of the solution or part of the problem – pillar or parasite. Now more than ever, our children depend on us to admit our mistakes, take responsibility, and better ourselves.
